Map the border before the maze

A dense layout becomes manageable when you separate known exits from blocked routes. Scan clockwise around the border and identify every arrow already pointing into open space.

Keep two or three candidates in mind. This protects you from treating the first legal move as the only useful move and helps you compare how much room each choice creates.

Work backward through a blocker chain

Choose an arrow you want to free and name the first piece in its path. Then inspect what blocks that piece. Continue until the chain reaches an arrow with a clear exit; that is the beginning of your solution, not the original target.

After each link leaves, confirm that the next route is actually open. A gap may also unlock a better move elsewhere, so stay willing to update the order.

• Protect a wide central corridor until you know who needs it.
• Favor moves that shorten more than one blocker chain.
• Rescan the border after every two or three removals.

Use open space as a shared resource

Empty lanes belong to the whole board. Spending a wide route on an isolated arrow can make a deeper cluster harder to solve, even when the immediate move is legal.

Before selecting a central arrow, look for other pieces aimed through the same corridor. Release them in the order that keeps the lane open longest, then finish the remaining edge pieces.
